Courtney is a Cèline Dion impersonator, and regularly performs as the Canadienne chanteuse throughout NYC and the US. Courtney’s voice can be heard on cast albums for Kill The Whale, TEETH, The Great Comet, In This Body, and Place & Time. JAE W.B. (Lucy) is a theater artist, singer, and nightlife performer based in New York City. Jae made her off-Broadway debut in the titular role of Thorn in Bruise & Thorn (Pipeline Theater Company). Most recently seen as Angel G. In Faggy Faffy Cairo Boy (National Queer Theater). Other credits include representing Misstep singing “Unremarkable” at the Jonathan Larson Awards for The American Theater Wing, Luna in Millennials are Killing Musicals, Luna and the Starbodies at Joe’s Pub and Lincoln Center, and Broadway for Racial Justice Sings! The Misseducation of Lauryn Hill at Little Island Amph and as Xavii for New Light Theater Project’s Pastel Color Ripples. Jae can be seen performing in NYC nightlife spaces such as Joe’s Pub, Birdland, and Club Cumming. Jae was an honorary mention for The New Visions Fellowship with the National Queer Theater & Dramatist Guild, is a GLAM Award nominee for Best Vocalist, and a proud board member of Pipeline Theater Company. NICHOLAS MARROQUIN (Guillermo) is a New York based stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, cosplayer, and prop maker, previously seen in other original productions such as Once More (Dave/Rich), as well as roles in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Ed), Sense & Sensibility (Colonel Brandon), and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Launce). LOLA LAMA (Glow) is a NYC and East End-based actor, singer, and performer. She is a recent BFA graduate of the New Studio on Broadway at NYU Tisch, with previous training at Experimental Theatre Wing, Atlantic Acting School, and Interlochen Arts Academy. Offstage, she enjoys playing around with makeup, working with kids as a nanny, and exploring the historical sites & beaches of her hometown, Sag Harbor. With a passion for live music, Lama leads a youthful East End-based jazz trio called Whatever Lola Wants and is the lead singer of a multi-generational, female-centric 80s Rock band, The Cherry Bombs (@cherrybombsmusic). HEIDI LANDIS (Director) is thrilled to bring together her lifelong passions for theater and psychotherapy through this project. A graduate of the Boston Conservatory and Carnegie Mellon University, Heidi began her career in the performing arts before becoming a licensed creative arts therapist, drama therapist, psychodramatist, educator, and director. She serves on the faculty of New York University’s Drama Therapy Program and maintains a private psychotherapy practice in New York City. Throughout her career, she has been drawn to the ways storytelling, performance, and human connection can foster insight, growth, and transformation. Heidi is grateful to collaborate with this talented cast and creative team in bringing The Talking Cure to life.
